Katie is a licensed real estate agent based in Denver, specializing in helping clients build wealth through strategic property ownership. She first discovered the potential of real estate by house-hacking in Arvada, CO—turning her home into a source of steady rental income. Today, Katie guides buyers and investors through every step, from finding and purchasing the right property to launching and operating successful short-term rentals, while leveraging the tax advantages unique to this asset class.
Her background includes financial advising, tax strategy for high-net-worth individuals, and venture debt for tech startups. She is currently a General Partner at Burton Capital Group, an investment group focused on multifamily syndications, where she previously served as Director of Investor Relations. She holds a B.A. in Economics and a B.S. in Business Management from the University of Florida. Now, she draws on her background in financial advising and advanced tax strategy to structure deals that maximize returns and minimize liabilities.
Katie’s portfolio features her Arvada Airbnb and a boutique multifamily apartment complex in Athens, GA, with additional anticipated acquisitions slated before the end of the year.
She lives in Denver with her husband, Sam, and their two kids (dogs), Fletcher and Travy. Outside of real estate, Katie is a freelance florist and writer. She delights in planning her next travels and embracing Colorado’s outdoors—whether hiking or skiing—alongside cozy evenings of reading, baking, and exploring new restaurants.
